Using Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader, the signature can be copied in the PDF and the PDF can be saved again, and is ready for scanning.
To copy a signature into a PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader under Windows, do the following:
- Save a scan of a signature as Image (*.jpg or similar)
- Open the image in Paint, press CTRL+C
- Open the PDF, press CTRL+V and place and scale the signature as desired
- Save the signed PDF
- Save the signature as PDF
- Copy the signature PDF files into a Foxit stamp folder (Common path: "C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\stamps\Standard Stamps")
- Open a PDF with Foxit Reader and select in the menu Comment>Stamp the signature and stamp the document, possibly scaling the signature as desired
